    November 1, 2018 LRE Regional Roundtables Featuring: Staff from Early CHOICES and ISBE Registration: 9:30 AM Workshop: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Location: DoubleTree by Hilton, 222 Potomac, Blvd., Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 Room: Salon C ~ For directions only: 618-241-6956 ~ Lunch provided by Early CHOICES (This workshop is in collaboration with ISBE and Early CHOICES) This Regional Roundtable meeting is targeted technical assistance regarding Preschool LRE for Northwestern and Central Illinois. The meeting will allow you to meet with other districts, learn about various models to implement LRE, and hear from representatives of school districts that implement inclusive options for children ages 3 – 5 in the area. You will develop a plan to increase LRE options for ages 3 – 5 in your district.     Developmentally Appropriate Assistive Technology for Young Children

    This intermediate workshop on Assistive Technology will provide the opportunity to tour the Illinois Assistive Technology Program and explore the resources that are available to the residents in Illinois. Participants will identify and discuss Universal Design for Learning, Adaptations, and Modifications to improve inclusive practices for all children. The use of case study examples will help facilitate a discussion on the use of adaptations and modifications in the classroom. Developing partnerships between early intervention and child care personnel that are supportive of the child and family is critical in our work. This workshop offers an opportunity for Early Intervention and Child Care providers to problem solve ways to collaborate and engage with all partners.     Each COP webinar will feature a different chapter of the Building Your Inclusion Toolbox book, consecutively. This COP will focus on Quality, Challenges, Solutions. The COPs will provide opportunities to engage with peers from across the state, and to hear from guest speakers who have effectively put recommended practices into place in programs programs just like yours.
