    Scaling Up Your Preschool LRE Plan: Next Steps

    Learning Level 2: Intermediate/Application Intended Audience: Administrator, ECSE and General Educators This meeting will provide a forum to meet with other districts, learn about various models to implement LRE, and hear from district representatives that have taken steps to implement LRE plans they developed in 2016-2017. You will have an opportunity to revise and enhance LRE plans to increase inclusive options for children ages 3-5 in your district. Continuing Education – This workshop will provide 3.0 contact hours for the following: Educator License Renewal Full attendance is required to receive a certificate.     2017 Least Restrictive Environment Preschool Regional Roundtables

    The regional roundtable meetings provide time to network with other districts, learn about various models to implement LRE, and hear from a district representative(s) that is implementing inclusive options for children ages 3-5 in the region. Districts will have an opportunity to begin to develop plans to increase LRE options for children ages 3-5.

    Integrating Speech Into the Early Childhood Classroom

    This interactive workshop will discuss tips and techniques for integrating speech therapy services into the early childhood classroom. We will discuss key parts of the early childhood day where services would be beneficial, planning documents, and allow time for questions and initial planning.

    Division for Early Childhood's 33rd Annual International Conference on Young Children with Special Needs and Their Families in Portland, Oregon

    The Division for Early Childhood will bring together a passionate group of dedicated individuals who work with or on behalf of young children (0-8) with special needs and their families. Leading experts will gather from all over the world to unite with other participants and attendees who are intimately invested in early intervention, early childhood special education, and related disciplines.

    Making Inclusion Work: Adaptations and Modifications

    Making Inclusion Work: Adaptations and Modifications is the second in a 3-part introductory series focusing on providing the basics of high quality inclusive programming. Join us in this series as we use the Illinois model for ?What Makes Inclusion Work in Early Childhood? to guide you through the research-based practices shown to improve successful implementation of inclusive programming. Part two will focus on high quality program practices that support all children. Participants will be able to differentiate between adaptations, accommodations and modifications and be provided tools to assist in tailoring modifications for children. It is not required to register for all webinars in this series, but is highly recommended.

    Sharing A Vision Conference

    Sharing A Vision is coordinated by the Illinois Division of Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children, in collaboration with the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Human Services. The conference provides quality workshops that are geared toward teaching all young children together.
