Collaborative Agreement
Early CHOICES supports programs with intensive technical assistance. In order to use our resources to the best of our ability we prioritize programs who have signed our Collaborative Agreement.
The purpose of technical assistance is to:
- Increase the number of children enrolled in a regular early childhood program and receiving their special education supports and services in that program (Indicator 6A)
- Reduce the number of preschoolers enrolled in self-contained special education classrooms (Indicator 6B)
Early CHOICES will facilitate program leadership team to examine existing inclusive policies and practices utilizing:
- District Indicator 6 data trends
- What Makes Inclusion Work
- Inclusive Classroom Profile
- Inclusive Inquiry Cycle
- DEC Recommended Practices
- Multiple tools and resources to identify both concrete (policy) and individual (mindset) barriers to inclusion such as the Understanding Inclusion Modules
