Participants will engage with the NAEYC Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) and DEC Recommended Practice Tools to reflect on their own teaching and learning environments and practices, then develop an action plan to increase inclusiveness through Developmentally Appropriate Practice. Participants will spend time reading, discussing, and analyzing realistic classroom scenarios and photographs and then engage in a “Start-Stop-Continue” process in small groups to help build an action plan. Note: There is a prerequisite for this training: Complete the Moodle course, Universal Design for Learning: Setting up the Environment for Success for ALL Children (online, on demand).
