Inclusion from the Start: Supporting All Learners in Pre-K & Kindergarten Classrooms
August 12, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Are you a general educator new to teaching students with disabilities? Or a special educator who is seeking ways to create better inclusive experiences for students? Or possibly a speech therapist or occupational therapist who is increasingly providing push-in services in Pre-K or kindergarten classrooms? If you replied “yes” to any of these questions, this webinar is for you. This session is focused on teacher-tested ideas that are easy to implement, appropriate for young children (e.g., AAC for all, planning in reverse) and can be used to plan lessons and provide practice for social and communication skills. Viewers will learn why inclusive classrooms are so powerful for all students and be introduced to ideas that work for children with disabilities (and those without identified needs). Tools that can be used to implement strategies will also be shared.
