Description – Having a friend in early childhood is a strong predictor of many positive long-term outcomes for children with disabilities AND typically developing children. This session will help teams prepare for and implement an evidence-based peer social skills package specifically designed to be used in inclusive early childhood classrooms. The session will address basic questions about social skills instruction and provide strategies to bring this core strategy to life in the inclusive classroom. Note: This webinar is part of a series. If you are interested in registering for one or more of the other sessions, please look for titles that begin with “Strategies to Support High-Quality Inclusion.” Subtitles indicate the focus of each, such as creating a foundation, general classroom modifications, routines, friendship skills, data systems, and individualized supports.
